World War II
We meet either Tommy or Vera Britten who reminisces about life during World War II from a child's perspective. He talks of the air raids, the Blitz, rationing, evacuation, the Home Guard, land girls and the comrade spirit. He shows us his ration book, a weeks rations, his War Pictorial, and his gas mask and he teaches us some patriotic wartime songs. Two children will be given the opportunity to dress in costume and all children will participate in the singing.
